Cuban Five

The Cuban Five are five Cuban men who are in U.S. prison, serving four life sentences and 75 years collectively. They were sent to Miami by the Cuban government to monitor right-wing extremist Miami groups who have together killed over 3,000 Cuban people. The Cuban government shared information on 31 terrorist attacks from information in part gained by the work of the Cuban Five. Instead of pursuing the ones who committed the terrorist attacks, the US government instead used the information as evidence to convict the Cuban Five of espionage.
